About me
I am Augutė Paliulionienė, hypnotherapist and a practician of Gestalt psychotherapy. In 2021 I graduated from the Andrew Parr Academy in the United Kingdom with a diploma in hypnotherapy and hypnosis. Currently I am studying Gestalt Psychotherapy at Gestalt Study Centre in Kaunas and seeking to qualify as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. Furthermore, I am studying clinical psychology at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU).
For a long time I worked in an international company in the field of finance and accounting. I graduated from Vilnius University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in International Business. It may appear that hypnotherapy and finance are two unrelated specialities, however, analytical skills, precision, mindfulness, attention to detail are very useful in analytical hypnosis, when we work with clients to find the causes of their problems and to connect seemingly completely unrelated events in their lives to find the incidents that have led to the unwanted symptoms of psychosomatic disorders, negative thinking.
Even though I worked as an accountant, I regularly attended self-development seminars and read psychological books. I have always been interested in how our thoughts affect our lives, how past painful or traumatic experiences, or childhood memories in our subconscious minds, which are no longer remembered by us, or are deliberately repressed by our conscious minds, can create problems and prevent us from living a meaningful and happy life. Gadeckis states that, “We usually blame other people and circumstances when problems occur. We hate them, fight them and try to remove them from our lives, without realising that they are simply the architects of fate and that fate is rooted within ourselves.” When we take responsibility and power back into our own hands, we become the creators of our lives.
Every day I remind myself that my thoughts become words, words become actions, actions become habits, habits become character and character becomes destiny.
My greatest desire and wish is to grow, to learn and to help others to overcome their problems, to help them see how imposed beliefs, events, attitudes, negative thoughts affect their lives.
